Not all yogasanas are safe while you are pregnant. Do practice yoga under a qualified instructor.

  • Bikram yoga also commonly called as hot yoga. This is done in a room where the temperature is set to more than 100?F. It is not safe for pregnant women because it may raise your body temperature abnormally, causing a condition known as hyperthermia.



  •  
  • Poses which involve lying on your belly or back.
  • Inverted poses which involve extending your legs above your heart or head.

Ask your instructor for guidance, if you wonder whether a pose is safe or not and remember the precautions to take while practicing yoga during pregnancy.
