Things to do before Sterilising

  • Clean the feeding equipment using a clean brush and as soon as possible after a feed.
  • Check for crevices of spoons, cups, katori, tumbler and clean with a brush
  • Before sterilising, rinse all equipments in clean and cold running water.

Remember to check the feeding equipments at regular intervals for any torn, crack or damage while sterilising by boiling.

Sterilising by Boiling

Boiling is one of the most popular methods of sterilising. Place the feeding equipment in water and boil it for at least 10 minutes. After boiling, wash your hands thoroughly, and clean and disinfect the area where you are going to store the equipments. Remove the sterilised equipments just before they are used. If not used immediately, put together all the equipment and lid in place to prevent the inside of the sterilised equipments from being contaminated.

All the best for a healthy feeding!
