Tips for Fitting more Sleep
A little adjustment will help you in getting the sleep you need. Following strategies might be helpful:
- Do not miss opportunities; sleep when your baby sleeps. Keep your cell phone in silent mode and ignore every other activity.
- If there are visitors, such as friends or loved ones, do not be the host. Instead, ask them to watch your baby while you take a nap.
- Take turns on night duties. Make a schedule, which allows both of you to rest and care for the baby. If you are breastfeeding, your husband could bring you the baby. If you are using alternate method of feeding, take turns to feed your baby.
Create the right environment for sleeping. Turn-off TV and keep your bedroom cool and dark. Consult doctor if you feel you have sleep problem. Taking good care of yourself in return will help you to take best care of your baby.
When can you Expect your Baby to Sleep through the Night?
At 3 months, most babies sleep through the night between 6 and 8 hours. However, it is not a cause of concern if your baby does not.
Every baby is
different and will develop own sleep pattern and cycle.
Dealing with exhaustion will help you sleep better. Calling a friend, taking a warm shower or practicing deep breathing exercise might be helpful.
