(0 reviews)

When your baby smiles or copies your gesture or waves hand for the first time, it gives you an immense pleasure. After birth, gradually, your baby achieves certain developmental milestones, such as playing, learning, moving, etc. He or she develops social, language, learning, thinking and problem-solving skills to explore the world. As a parent, you can help your baby during this developmental stage.

Here are some tips to help your baby’s development at 4 months:

Read tiny stories or sing rhymes to your baby. This will help develop your baby’s language skill and brain.

  • Smile and be cheerful while you are talking to your baby.
  • Establish regular routine for feeding and bedtime.
  • Beware about your baby’s likes and dislikes, which helps you understand his or her needs.
  • Reply to your baby’s sound by copying his or her sounds and adding words. This helps in your baby’s language development skill.
  • Show excitement and happiness when your baby makes sounds.
  • Allow your baby to play with age-appropriate toys, such as rattles or colourful pictures.
  • When your baby is relaxed, play different games with him or her, such as peek-a-boo.
  • Keep toys near your baby’s reach for him or her to hold with hand or kick with feet.
  • Hold your baby with his or her feet on the floor and sing or talk to your baby while he or she ‘stands’ with support.
  • Create a safe environment for your baby to play and explore more.
