1. Wear a bra that provides firm support and fits well . Make sure that your bra doesn’t irritate your nipples. Opt for cotton bras rather than synthetic ones as they may be more comfortable.
You will know that your bra fits well if:
• You find that it is not too tight or too loose
• The bra contains the entire breast without any bulging at the bottom, top or at the sides.
2. Try maternity bras, which provide more support. Such bras usually include extra rows of hooks so that you can adjust the size as your body changes. Owing to the comfort and added support, maternity bras are widely preferred by woman while sleeping.
3. Disposable or washable breast pads are a good option if your breasts are leaking. For better results, air-dry your breasts a few times each day before and after showering.
4. Last but not the least; avoid using soap on your nipples and areolas as soaps tends to dry out the skin.
If you experience discomfort or pain even after these precautions, consider talking with your doctor. Do not take medicines on your own without consulting with your doctor during pregnancy.
