Do keep your family pet out of your child’s reach. It is also a safe idea to keep all your houseplants away. Some plants are poisonous and may harm your child and make him or her sick.

Here are some ways to make your home safe for your child:

Use Outlet Covers and Plugs to cover all unused electrical sockets to prevent your kid from getting an electric shock. Move furniture or other electronics to hide chords.

Use Corner and Edge Guard or Protective Padding to cover sharp edges and corners of dining table and other pointed furniture. This will protect your child from getting hurt if he or she falls against them.

Use Anchors or Brackets to secure heavy objects like bookcases or TVs so that they cannot be pulled down on top of your child.

Use Safety Gates at the top and bottom of stairs or to block the entry into rooms like bathroom or kitchen, as these rooms can be unsafe for your child.

Use Safety Latches or Locks on cabinets and drawers to prevent your kid from getting into dangerous items like medicines, cleaning products, etc.

Use Doorknob Covers and Locks to keep your child from opening doors. Make sure that you know how to use it, so that you can open it quickly during an emergency.

Use Window Guards and Safety Netting to prevent your kid from falling out of a window.

Use Grill to cover up open balconies. Never let your child to spend time in the balcony alone without an adult supervision. Always keep the doors leading to the balcony locked.

Remove all small objects such as buttons, coins, etc. from the floor and keep them locked to prevent your child from swallowing these and choking.
